Claudia was born and raised in Mexico. Dancing since the age of 5, Claudia relocated to Houston, Texas to teach, further refine and develop her talents with dance. Her dance disciplines consists of Salsa, Mambo, Guaguanco, Cha-Cha, Merenque, Tap, Ballet, Tango, Flamenco, Cumbia and Tejano. Her passion for dance is clearly reflected with the extensive performances and teachings throughout with her unique style and fluid movements. She has been invited to teach and perform in major events such as the Puerto Rico Congress Salsa Congress, West Coast Salsa Congress, New York Salsa Congress, Philadelphia Salsa Congress and TheTexas Salsa Conventions. In additions to numerous performances, she has competed and placed or won many competitions including, Colorado Salsa Open, Texas Salsa Open 08', Gillette's Smooth Moves, American Airlines Dance Competition, and Texas Salsa Open 2010. She was the director of choreography for the Houston Salsa Dancers Dance Team for over three years, currently President of the Cougar Salseros Salsa Organization at the University of Houston since five years ago, and choreographer of various dance projects such as her Ladies Styling Dance Team. Her passion to dance is reflected in her involvement with community services and introducing salsa to as many people as she can.
